5 New Restaurants to Try Out in Hyderabad

Hyderabad is witnessing a boom in the new restaurants that are starting out. Some are absolutely new concepts, while others are new branches of already successful brands. Here are five places that have opened up in the last few months that have impressed me. Some are cafes, some are restobars while some are fine dine places.

1. Lazeez Affaire

Lazeez Affaire from Delhi has a branch in Hyderabad now. Located on Road No. 45, Jubilee Hills, in the same building as Lord of the Drinks, this high-end casual dine spot serves not just rich North Indian flavours but also some delicious Hyderabadi dishes. The recommendations here are the Hyderabadi Gosht Marag, Chicken Tikka Masala, Shikampur Kabab and Magnum Ice Cream with Beetroot Halwa. The Galouti kababs are melt in the mouth.

The cocktails are named Ek, Do, Teen, Char and so on. So far, there were not too many places in town where you could enjoy good Hyderabadi food with alcohol in a good environment, and this place fills that void.

2. Churrolto, Financial district

From a small Churro stall to a respected brand in Hyderabad with multiple outlets, Churrolto as a brand has come a long way. Recently they have opened a new outlet in Financial district, at Vamsiram Tech Park. The place is much larger, swank with lot of natural light, compared to their other branches.

You get all the popular dishes from Churrolto here including my favourite Buttermilk Fried Chicken and of course the evergreen Churros. Fish N Chips, Piri Piri Thin Crust Pizza, and Watermelon Mojito are some other recommendations here.

3. Madikeri Craft Coffee, Jubilee Hills.

After Bagh Beans, this is the new outlet promoted by Sarita Sarkar. Nice decor, great coffee and good food. The cafĂ© is Instagram friendly and adjacent to The Glass House, a sister restaurant that can also be used for indoor vibes.

Sesame Latte is a brew you must try here. Tea lovers can dote over the Masala Tea. The Egg Croissant, Grilled Chicken Sandwich and Pancakes are some other delicacies here.

4. Pawwa Everyday Bar & Bites, Jubilee Hills

Pawwa Everyday Bar & Bites is a new restobar in Jubilee Hills. The place serves good cocktails and food and the prices are also quite affordable. You can buy your alcohol in larger quantities like a quarter instead of a peg, and hence the name. Whisky based Scottish Dream, Mexican Mafia with Tequila, another whisky based cocktail Chee Cha worked for me.

Dahi Kabab, Poha Crusted Prawns, Bombay Chicken Lollipops and Egg Wrapped Pawwa Chicken Kabab were the highlights from the food served. The place has nice indoor and outdoor seating.

5. Queens & Beans, Manikonda

A new cafe at Manikonda, Queens & Beans showcases some best of breed coffees. The Snickerdoodle Latte hot coffee and Blueberry Cold Brew impressed me a lot.

Among the food items that I have tried out Gongura Chicken Wings, Fish Tenders and Mushroom Bruschetta are the dishes I can safely recommend. The rooftop portion is extremely cozy with a nice view.
